AIAA – Ageing Congress 2020

EN – The AIAA – ANGES InternationalAgeingAward – is an award established by the National Association of Social Gerontology in 2018. The main objective of this award is to recognize people and institutions through good practices around the issues of aging and the elderly.

The prize will be awarded each year, in the ANGEINGCONGRESS ®, according to the decision of the Advisory Board of ANGES. The award will distinguish a personality, of recognized merit, for the contribution that it has given to the development of society, especially as regards the theme of aging and the quality of life of the elderly.

It will also be allocated to an institution that is dedicated to care for older people or to intervene in the human development dimension.

PT – O AIAA – ANGES InternationalAgeingAward – é um galardão instituído pela Associação Nacional de Gerontologia Social em 2018. Este prémio tem como objetivo principal reconhecer pessoas e instituições pelas boas práticas em torno das questões do envelhecimento e dos mais velhos.

O prémio será atribuído em cada ano, no ANGEINGCONGRESS ®, de acordo com a decisão do Conselho Consultivo da ANGES.

O galardão distinguirá uma personalidade, de reconhecido mérito, pelo contributo que tenha dado para o desenvolvimento da sociedade, sobretudo no que à temática do envelhecimento e da qualidade de vida dos mais velhos diz respeito.

Será também atribuído a uma instituição que se dedique a cuidar de pessoas mais velhas ou a intervir na dimensão do desenvolvimento humano.

EN – The form of the award, created by Ricardo Pocinho and João Carlos Correia, represents through an inverted V the 3 A (ANGES, Ageing and Award), I (International) appears by the junction of such inverted letter with the globe that has here the dual role of I accent and to represent the overall dimension of the premium.

PT – A forma do galardão, criada por Ricardo Pocinho e João Carlos Correia, representa através de um V invertido os 3 A (ANGES, Ageing e Award), o I (International) aparece pela junção de tal letra invertida com o globo que tem aqui o duplo papel de acento do I e de representar a dimensão global do prémio.

EN – In 2018, ANG- National Association of Gerontologists, (angerontologos.pt), was honored for the dignified representation they make to aging science professionals. The Palhaços d ‘Opital Association (palhacosdopital.pt), Non-profit Cultural Association, is implementing a program of intervention within our partner hospitals: Baixo-Vouga Hospital Center, Aveiro, Figueira da Foz District Hospital and in the Tondela-Viseu Hospital Center, which aims to develop visits of our Doctor Clowns, professionals and with specific training in this area, bringing joy, affection and good disposition with focus on Seniors.

There was also a posthumously honorable mention to Dr. Antonio Arnaut, who died on May 21, 2018, in gratitude for the creation of the National Health Service, because it is to this that the increase of the average life expectancy is due. In 2018, all the people who contributed in a decisive way to the success of the event were also rewarded with the award.

PT – Em 2018, foi distinguida a ANG- Associação Nacional de Gerontólogos, (angerontologos.pt), pelo digna representação que fazem aos profissionais da ciência do envelhecimento.

Foi ainda distinguida a Associação Palhaços d’ Opital(palhacosdopital.pt), Associação Cultural sem Fins Lucrativos, que está a implementar um programa de intervenção dentro dos nossos hospitais parceiros: Centro Hospitalar Baixo-Vouga, Aveiro, Hospital Distrital da Figueira da Foz e no Centro Hospitalar Tondela-Viseu, que visa assim desenvolver visitas dos nossos Doutores Palhaços, profissionais e com formação específica nesta área, levando alegria, os afetos e boa disposição com foco nos Seniores.

Houve também uma menção honrosa a título póstumo ao Dr. Antonio Arnaut, falecido a 21 de maio de 2018, como agradecimento pela criação do Serviço Nacional de Saúde, pois é a este que se deve o aumento da esperança media de vida.

Em 2018, foram ainda agraciadas com o galardão todas as pessoas que contribuíram de forma decisiva para o sucesso do evento.
